Mangaluru, May 7: A boy was killed in a hit-and-run accident near Ganjimutt here on Sunday May 7 noon.

The deceased has been identified as Ziyan (14), a resident of Kinnikambala.

Ziyan was going by bike to his friend's house at Yedapadavu when a car smashed into the bike and sped away, sources said. Ziyan was killed on the spot. It is not clear who was riding the bike.

The car is suspected to have fled towards Kaikamba.

The body has been shifted to Ganjimatt primary heath centre.

Bajpe police have registered a case and investigation is on.
