Kasargod, May 10: An electrician repairing a motor pump fell into the well and died after the rope broke. The incident took place at Pachlampare, Uppala on Tuesday evening, May 9.
The deceased, identified as Athif (37), resident of Peringadi, Uppala had come to repair the pump at the house of a Pachlampare resident.
The electrician got down into the well to repair the pump. The rope broke when he was climbing up after the repair killing him on the spot.
Fire brigade and local people fished the body out of the well. Manjeshwar police have registered a case.
