Beltangady, May 11: Alice Mathew from Kayartadka in the taluk died in a road accident at Kozhikode district in Kerala on Tuesday May 9. She was the wife of Mathew, an ex-serviceman. The accident happened after a truck collided with the car in which the family was travelling.
Alice was returning home after visiting pilgrimage centres in Keralal by car along with family members when tragedy struck near Payyannur. Alice died on the spot, while her husband, Mathew, daughter, Mary, and relative, Shaji, suffered serious injuries. All of them were admitted into the local military hospital.
