Change of guard? Rahul Gandhi summons KPCC chief Parameshwara to Delhi


Bengaluru, May 12 (DHNS): Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President G Parameshwara was summoned to New Delhi on Thursday evening where he is likely to be sounded about a possible change in leadership of the party.

According to party sources, Parameshwara got a call from AICC Vice-President Rahul Gandhi’s office asking him to reach New Delhi.

Parameshwara who reached the national capital at around 8 pm, will be meeting Rahul on Friday, sources said.

Rahul will elicit Parameshwara’s views on a change of guard in the party leadership.

Names of senior leaders Mallikarjun Kharge, ministers D K Shivakumar, M B Patil and former minister S R Patil are doing the rounds for the post of KPCC chief.
