Mangaluru, May 15: A complaint stands filed in Mulky police station about the disappearance of a young woman after entrusting her 16-day-old baby to the care of her neighbour.

Pavitra (20) disappeared after giving her baby to her neighbour. A complaint made by her neighbour residing at Kubevoor, Mulky, says that Pavitra had given the baby to her care with the assurance that she would come back after visiting medical store in the town and take the child back. Pavitra, who was staying in a rented home, went away on Sunday morning, but not returned till that evening, the complainant said.

Mulky police have registered a case and began investigation.
