Kundapur: Cows being led to slaughterhouse rescued

Kundapur, Jun 1: In a swift action, police personnel attached to the town station here succeeded in foiling an attempt aimed at the transportation of cattle illegally to a slaughterhouse and rescuing the animals. The incident happened at Acharbettu in Kumbhashi in the taluk during late hours on the night of Wednesday May 31.

The cattle were being taken to the slaughterhouse located at Kudroli, Mangaluru, in a Tata 407 pick up vehicle from a house in Kumbhashi. Members of Hindu Jagran Vedike, who got reliable information about this, conveyed this information to the police station. Acting on this information, police personnel succeeded in rescuing three cows and a calf from Kumbhashi.

During the raid, there were four occupants in the vehicle. Three of them succeeded in fleeing, while the other was arrested. The arrested accused has been identified as Abdul Khader from Suratkal. The police are trying to ascertain the whereabouts of Anwar, Usman, and Abubakker, who succeeded in giving the policemen a slip.

A case stands registered at the police station about this incident. Investigation is in progress.

    The people who sell are the one who give tip off to fascists group such as HJV, BD etc.

    This is their dual face of cheating. They get money by selling and also get happiness by getting caught the buyers.

    Buyers should stop buying the cattle unless these sellers fall buyers feet and bring their cattle themselves to slaughter house.
