Udupi, Jun 4: Vishwa Bunts Naadavara Janajaagrathi Balaga and other social thinkers organised a protest meet, against Vishwa Santhosh Bharati Swamiji and his various activities, at the Brahmavar Bunts' Bhavan, on Saturday, June 3. Hundreds of people participated in the meeting.

They condemned various activities by the Swami including the false accusation filed against five persons .

"Santosh Swamiji has filed an attempt to murder case against me. It's a false accusation. He has to swear on the diety at Sri Manjunatha swami temple Dharamasathal temple to prove he speaks the truth. It was alleged in the complaint, that five members tried to take the Swamiji’s life. There is no truth in it. We are ready to promise Sri Manjunatha swami temple Dharamasathal temple premise," said Arooru Thimappa Shetty, vice-president, Bunt Sangha Brahmavar.

"He has made false allegations that a suspicious-looking car was seen near his ‘Samstaana’ and gave the car number. On investigation, it was established that it was an auto-rickshaw number. This clearly shows that his intention was just to shut our mouths against them. He, as a swami is trying to create enmity. We as Bunts respect all religious leaders, but if we remain silent about this, he might level false allegations on more people. Hence, we are protesting against this," he added

President of all bunts association Lakshiminarya addreseed the gathering and said, "We have no personal grudges and there is no protest against the individual. We are fighting on religious principles. We do not want a 'Peeta' and we are against it. If we do not have a protest against the activities of the Swamiji, there could be chances of more complaints lodged against Bunts who oppose his motives. Swamiji is trying to create enmity with our community. We respect all religious leaders like swamijis. But this Swami is trying to shut our mouths because we oppose his motives.

"Santosh Swamiji cheated not only the bunts community, but also the people of Tulunadu. Fake Santhosh Swamiji has established the  Guru Peeta not for the society he did for his own profits. By establishing the Peeta he grabbed money form innocent people. On behalf of Swamiji, the complaint was filed by Anil Kumar Shetty, Samsthaana’s Administration Officer with allegation that the five members tried to take Swamiji’s life. He should take back the complaint and investigate the the root of the problem," he added.

Vishwa Bunts Naadavara Janajaagrathi Balaga, and social thinkers took a decision and a missive on the same will be sent to state government, the members said. The Balaga stated -

1 State governmet should not give any funds to Bunta Mahasamsthaana, and should take all the donation back
2 Vishwa Santhosh Bharati Swamiji misuses the  police system.
3 Vishwa Santhosh Bharati Swamiji has bulit Bunta Mahasamsthaana by destroying the historical witness which told the history of Barkur. The government should investigate the place.
4 Bunts condemned fake Vishwa Santhosh Bharati Swamiji Barkur Mahasamsthaana Bhargava Beedu.
5 Vishwa Bunts Naadavara Janajaagrathi Balaga, and social thinkers forced to investigate the fake complaints against the Pramod, Ganesh, Arorr Narayan shetty, Vasnth others.
