Kundapur: Hounded by three young men, teenager attempts suicide

Kundapur, Jun 5: A 17-year-old girl consumed poison on Sunday June 4 in an attempt to take away her life. The incident happened in Shedimane village in the taluk. The victim stands admitted into KMC Hospital Manipal in critical condition.

The girl has completed her education. She used to visit Hebri regularly to get training in tailoring and stitching. Everyday, it is said, three youngsters from the area used to follow and harass her. It is said that the youth also urged her to love them, besides behaving with her in a rude, indecent way. The girl, feeling frustrated and helpless, consumed rat poison. She was taken to hospital in serious condition.

Police of Amasebail station have recorded the girl's statement wherein she has given details of the sufferings she went through at the hands of her three tormentors. The police are investigating and the girl is being treated by doctors.

    Arrest these unwanted and waste creatures and debar them to andaman. Let them enjoy their rest of life in the jungle. They are fit for this only as they have no respect in women. No Lawyer should fight for these culprits and Police should take immediate actin before the fled away.
