Mangaluru, Jun 8: A huge tree standing by the side of the road, unable to withstand the force of the wind, got uprooted and fell directly on a house located nearby. The incident happened at around 4.30 am on Thursday, June 7.

The house which bore the brunt of the incident, belongs to the family of the late Girish at Bajal Pakkaladka. Family members were sleeping inside when the tree came crashing down, but none of them were hurt. Electricity supply to the region got instantly severed.
