Mangaluru: New DCP Hanumantharaya takes charge

Mangaluru, Jun 9: Hanumantharaya, who was appointed as the new deputy commissioner of police (DCP - crime and traffic) in the city commissionerate, took over charge on Thursday June 8.

The previous DCP, Dr Sanjeev Patil, was transferred to Anti Corruption Bureau Bengaluru on May 6. Hanumantharaya has come in place of Dr Patil. He was functioning as superintendent of police, KPTCL, Bengaluru, earlier.

Under instruction from the police commissioner, Chandra Sekhar, DCP in charge of law and order, Shantaraju, handed over charge to the new DCP on Thursday.
