B'luru: HC orders probe into land encroachment by Ramachandrapur Math

Bengaluru, Jun 9: The state high court (HC), which heard a public interest litigation (PIL) filed with it, ordered the city district deputy commissioner to investigate and file a report whether the branch of Ramachandrapur Math, Hosanagara, in the city has encroached  2,600 sq ft of civic amenity (CA) site at Girinagar here.

The PIL was filed by a person named M Pawan Prasad. The HC bench comprising Chief Justice S K Mukherjee and Justice P S Dinesh Kumar ordered the deputy commissioner to conduct spot inspection and file a report within eight weeks as to whether the Math has encroached upon the site that was reserved for public use.

It also ordered to include secretary in the state urban development department as  a respondent in the case.
