Kundapur: Teenage college student ends life

Kundapur, Jun 15: A 19-year-old student of St Ann's Para Medical Sciences College at Mulki ended her life on Wednesday June 14 afternoon by hanging herself at her hostel room. She has been identified as Umana Mathew who hails from Alappuzha district in Kerala.

A complaint filed in Mulki police station said that the student had, on Wednesday, obtained permission to be absent from afternoon classes. She then directly went to her hostel at Karnad near Mulki and ended her life at her hostel room. Mulki police have registered a case and investigating. It is as yet unknown as to why the teenager ended her life.
