Mumbai, Aug 1: Billava Jagruthi Balaga which was split from its parent Billavara Association merged back with Billavara Association creating a new chapter in the meeting of integration at Narayanaguru auditorium, Santacruz east on Sunday July 31.

A temporary committee was formed to represent the merged Billava organizations on the occasion. The committee will function till the next general body meeting and elections.

Purushotham S Kotian and Mahendra Sooru Karkera were elected vice presidents. J M Kotian and Keshava K Kotian joint secretaries, D B Ameen, Bhasker Karnire, Harish G Poojary Kokkarne, working committee members, Santhoshi S Poojary, Yashodha N T Poojary, women's wing vice presidents, Kripa Bhojaraj, Heera D Ameen, Pooja Purushotham, Girija Chandrashekar, Rekha Sadanand, Prabha N P Suvarna specially invited members.

National Billava Mahamandala Mulki president Jaya C Suvarna set the meeting in progress. Association president Nithyananda D Kotian presided over the meeting where the new office bearers were elected.

Association vice president Bhasker V Bangera, Shanker D Poojary and Dr U Dhananjay Kumar, honorary chief treasurer Mahesh C Karkal, women's wing executive president Shakuntala K Kotian, Yuvabhyudaya sub committee leader Nilesh Poojary Palimar and hundreds of Billava leaders were present at the meeting.

Harish Poojary Kokkarne gave the keynote address. Akshaya monthly magazine assistant editor Harish K Hejmady compered the programme. Association honorary chief secretary Dharmapala G Anchan welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks.
