Bengaluru: Raid on DKS - Siddu might take ACB, Lokayukta route to target BJP leaders

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 4: It is gathered that Karnataka chief minister (CM), Siddaramaiah, is eager to hit back at the BJP to avenge the raid on minister, Shivakumar. As per information, he is seriously contemplating use of these institutions to take on BJP leaders like Yeddyurappa, R Ashoka, C T Ravi, Shobha Karandlaje, and Katta Subrahmanya Naidu.

The state government, it is said, has decided to make use of all chances to browbeat BJP, which has hit the party and government here hard. Therefore, the state is mulling chances of using legally available opportunities to teach BJP a lesson. Already a process to infuse life into some old cases standing against these leaders are on, it is said.

Congress high command is solidly backing Shivakumar, as it feels that Narendra Modi and Amit Shah planned the said raid against the minister as he played major role in averting BJP's efforts to woo Congress MLAs. The state government also wants to win appreciation of the national leadership of the party by taking action against BJP leaders.

In a surprise development, in the meanwhile, mother of Shivakumar, speaking to a private news channel, surprised people by launching verbal tirade against Siddaramaiah. "Siddaramaiah utilized the services of my children, D K Shivakumar and D K Suresh, at his will. But when Income tax raid happened he did not do anything. I am confident that my children will come out unscathed," she stated.

Adding further, she questioned the claim of Siddaramaiah about helping people with 'Anna Bhagya' scheme. "Siddarmaiaah keeps claiming that he has gifted various Bhagyas to people. Did he bring them from his paternal home? He has given out of what we, the farmers, contributed by working hard. Everything will come into the open once election is held. My children nursed the aspirations of getting elected and working for people by becoming ministers, among others. But Siddaramaiah did not come to their rescue at the times of need," she commented.

Such IT raids on state ministers smack of political Blackmail and would affect the federal structure of our country if it is misused so blatantly to settle scores with political adversaries. The state is within its right to use all the enforcement agencies available at its disposal to target their political adversaries. Just imagine central ministers and political adversaries being foisted with cases by states. It will lead to Mutally Assured destruction(MAD).

Golden opportunity to Congress. But only target the corrupt opponents only. People will support you. Otherwise it will boomerang. More raids are the need of the hour.

Mr Siddu, As a people representative it was your duty to file cases of corruption if there is credible information on yeddy, Shobha, Ashoka etc. This is not an option MR siddu. The statements make us beleive you only act if centre acts against Cogress. Go cheif minister go. file the cases & bring them to book. but if you back out now. we have to beleive that you are scared that fire will catch your tail too. if the fight between political parties bring the corruption money out of cupboards, we as people whichever is our party affiliation will be very happy.

Yedurappa, Shoba, Ashok and other corrupt BJP leaders might be thinking what the hell Amit Shah did ? Now wounded congress will go after these BJP leaders before the election by using the law agencies they have under them and put these BJP leaders on the floor and show the people of Karnataka and India, how corrupt they are also!, poor BJP leaders both central & state, without realizing the might of Siddhu, gave the stick in his hand to beat them and now all will be getting beaten severely. ! Comedy circus just started before the elections, watch & have fun !

All corrupt politician should be caught, irrespective of political party but central govt has more chance to raid opposition because opposition has ruled over 60 years and they looted like anything. if CM tries to use local agencies to raid his opposition corrupt politician who has looted state govt when they were in power, I think it will be high drama to see in the coming days.
But these politicians are making fool of us. Please take this opportunity as entertainment and don't be serious. No one is honest.

How it is possible to do the raid so neatly. But my comment is not reflected.
He is the most powerful minister in entire congress party
He was about to become CM.But many in his own party where against DKC.
Just wait and see....his own party leaders will put him down coz they want their partyto survive not the person.

Which minister or which party is left out now? You name a minister and you will find him corrupt be it from the BJP or the Congress. What is the fate of people like us? Do we really need such people as ministers? Anyway, I welcome the decision of the CM to proceed against the likes of Yeddyurappa, Shobha and the other robbers.

So Congress remembered about BJP corruption just before election. Now during election time they will start telling they will not spare any corrupts. And this story will be repeated every 5 years by each party during election time. Politicians clearly know how to exploit and emotionally blackmail common man in the name of land, religion, corruption, nationalism etc..

Knowingly or unknowingly Siddu will be playing with fire by taking on Modi in this game
No problem. BJP has nothing to loose in Karnataka. Instead even they can claim victim card and accuse govt of vandeta politics. Even public is also knows now . It may help BJP to give tickets to clean image aspirant s in the upcoming election.
