Bengaluru: Not violated law, will answer every question once I-T documents ready: D K Shivakumar

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 5: State energy minister, D K Shivakumar, who appeared before the media persons today for the first time after having been grilled in a secluded atmosphere for over three days, said that he would first like to meet legislators who have confidence in him and then beseech the divine powers he has faith in. He also said that he will answer every question raised against him once he gets a copy of the documents prepared by the I-T deparment.

The minister, who met media representatives opposite his Sadashivanagar residence here, apologised for having caused problems for police officials and media. He thanked the police officers for protecting his own family and those of his friends and relatives during this trying time. "I know that being the fourth estate of democracy, media has been doing its duty. I am not concerned whether you are reporting in my favour or against," he added.

"I'm not the kind of person that violates the law and the Constitution...the truth will come out," he said.

Shivakumar confirmed that the income tax officials who had continued with their investigations at his home for three days, have concluded their investigation and gone back. "I do not want to speak anything about this issue now. The officials have prepared an inquest. I will react after verifying the copy of the inquest of documents prepared by the income tax officials, and after the same is handed over to me," he clarified.

He expressed gratefulness to people who solidly supported him during the raid. "I am aware that Congress party and its leaders have faced embarrassment on account of this raid. I profusely thank the party activists and leaders for supporting me during this crisis. I have never violated laws and the Constitution. Henceforth, when I speak, I will speak backed by documents. I will provide clarification for every query raised against me," he stated.

Shivakumar said that he would like to first meet legislators who have reposed confidence in him, and also the divine powers in whom he reposes trust.

Now on wards DKS will be vary of enemies within his Congress party. Even though the Congress party has been accussing BJP of pressurising IT raids, The tip must have come from top leader of Congress and JDS who were together in same party once. A secret compromise between DKS and BJP cannot be ruled out ,like where DKS will help BJP in next assembly election in return for weak case. So that he will not meet same fate as Janardhan Reddy and Jagan Redddy. Remember there are no friends or foe's in politics only opportunists.

Instead of running to the legislators or invoking divine intervention, all he has to do is to say goodbye to Congress and jump into BJP bandwagon. All charges will be dropped in a jiffy.

That should be the spirit. To face the situation with courage and calmness. Public should remain patient till the whole issue is probed and cleared. We need not draw an inference from the raids as the messages by the social media could be false and distorted. Not that Mr DKS is a pauper but he may have an explanation for his wealth. Lets wait.

    I observed two interesting things.
    1. DK Shivkumar's body languages suggests he is very confident. I wasn't expecting it, especially after such a massive ride.
    2. Since yesterday, I havent seen any congress leader talk about this issue or support shivkumar. Havent seen any photo of him other than the one with the gujrath congress mla's.
I would love to hear the other poster's views on this. These two look very strange to me.

    Reasons may be below:
    1. IT was not able to unearth what they wanted or he was successful in confronting them.
    2. Backdoor deal is done between the two parties.
    3. He is confident that he can confront this issue politically.

    People,

DKS friend and business partner Yeddy must have really worked very hard to put an end to this IT raid ...stopped ED/CBI from taking over the case and arresting DKS like Gali Janardhana Reddy....

Both CONgess and BJPeee are crooks...helping each other in peoples back...both two sides of same coin...

DKS should blame Ahmed Patel/Amit Shah for this raid and Yeddy for protecting his friend and business partner...in all ...all are shameless...including people who vote for these two corrupt parties...

Bhakths who were frustrate-fully looking forward a single reason for defaming Siddu Govt are flying high ever since CBI raid took place on DKS properties. They became so active on social media from last week and sharing fake pictures and news left and right. Some are sharing photos of CBI raids on Eshwarappa/Reddi/Yeddi residences without checking the facts!

I wonder, how Bhakths are getting pictures, videos of CBI raid on DKS house, which are not even published by CBI to media yet !!!

A story carried by the Times of India’s Ahmedabad edition about an apparent increase of “300%” in BJP president Amit Shah’s assets over the past five years was removed from the the paper’s website within hours of being published on Saturday. No explanation has been given and no editor is willing to take responsibility for having pulled the plug on the news item.
The story, which reported how Shah’s assets had grown by 300% between 2012 – when he last filed a declaration as part of his nomination papers for the Gujarat assembly election – and 2017, also noted that textiles and information and broadcasting minister Smriti Irani has clarified in her affidavit that she has not yet completed her Bachelor of Commerce course.
Why no one talking about this ?????

The news article on Amit Shah was removed post a. Clarification from BJP, in 2013 Amith Shahs Mother Kusum Shah died after her death he inherited properties worth 18 crores from her through a court order. This caused the sudden increase in assets. After that clarification Times of India had no option but to delete the article as they were wrong on their assessment.

    Not violated the/Constitution......DKS
Neither the Law of the land nor constitution is applicable to Congress politicians.
They were above Law of the land and constitution for the past 70 years.
They are not used to this sudden change in this political climate which become too hot for them.
Siddanna is very happy with this raid.
DKS was the main contender for CM's post in 2018 election.
Now there are no opponents for Siddanna.

Most of the corrupt BJP people converted money before demonetisation. How come BJP Reddys get new currency prior date of demon et station. Is there any raid or action from IT dept.
In this scenario, BJP do not know how to give respect to people and has no value to human being losing nearly 160 lives also not giving any compensation.

Possessing such a huge amount stashed itself is illegal and violation of law. Being a minister in the State Government is it fair to say not violated the law. I think being a public servant if he trying to break the rule and law and trying to substantiate that he has not violated the law, he need to be punished severely.
Otherwise this would become a precedent in future. If public need to have belief in law and order, these public representatives need to be taken to task and punished. Like Yeddy and Reddy, even he need to be sent in. There should not be any mercy.
