Media Release

Mangaluru, Aug 8: The 3 Hungry men created history in the city yet again by successfully conducting world’s second sizzler eating competition, ‘Man vs Sizzler 2’ at Kobe Sizzlers Balmatta.

Scores of people stormed the venue to watch this mega event as more than 70 foodies battled it out to win the grand prize of one month of free sizzlers from Kobe, a 'Make-over' worth Rs 13,000 from Veera’s, along with a host of other prizes.

The winners were Jude D’Souza and Vishnu Pradeep who managed to devour a sizzler in 216 seconds. They surprisingly beat the previous year’s record set by Bharat and Rachna which was 223 seconds. Bharat came second this year, losing to Jude and Vishnu by just two seconds.

The venue was packed and witnessed participants who were as young as 18 to as old as 40.

Jude and Vishnu said, "We could not believe we won. The strategy was to eat in a systematic manner and not waste our water by taking big sips. We are so happy now. We really look forward to more such exciting events to be conducted by The 3 Hungry Men in future.”

Haris Ebrahim, MD of Kobe Sizzlers said, “The turnout was massive and we really enjoyed the way the event was conducted. Personally, I never thought one could finish a sizzler so quickly.”

“We loved the energy and support we received from everyone. We will definitely organize more innovative events for all of you,” said a very elated duo Nikhil Pai and Colin.
