Poll fever: Amit Shah to use UP election strategy in Karnataka?

Bengaluru, Aug 12 (Deccan Chronicle): BJP president Amit Shah is likely to base the party’s strategy for the 2018 Karnataka elections on its successful Uttar Pradesh model, according to party sources.

He is also likely to induct prominent leaders and MLAs of other parties into the BJP as part of its poll preparation, they reveal. Shah, who is arriving in the state on a two-day visit from August 12, will bring three survey reports conducted by various agencies to help him draw up strategy for the state, according to them.

“He has a consolidated report of the 224 Assembly constituencies in the state and is aware of the party’s strengths and weaknesses in each of them. He intends to focus more on the constituencies where the party has a very weak base,” said a party leader.

“Our party president will draw a road map for our workers for the next six months and based on his directions, election strategies will be finalised,” said BJP core committee member and senior leader C T Ravi, adding that his meetings with both core committee members and second rung leaders would help douse the differences among leaders and help the party fight the coming polls unitedly. As for distribution of tickets, it will be decided by the party central leadership based on the feedback received from the state leadership, going by another senior leader.

Meanwhile, it is believed that the state BJP has been soft on the income tax raids on Energy minister D K Shivakumar because of his good personal rapport with its president and former Chief Minister, B S Yeddyurappa.

Kannadigas are not fools, because when asked to the school girls by Rahul Gandhi in Bangalore, they rightly said "is Swachh Bharath working"?, they said Yes
"is Make in India working"?, they said Yes.

    my friend ramesh s,
let's think, if there is no nation called pakistan and if there is no sub-categories of religion, if everyone says they are only INDIANS and no other cast or religion and there were no fights in the name of religion including mosque or temple. then most of bjp ministers might be jobless.
so it's not about religion or patriotism, these all issues are just for the sake of earnings for them to get their bread and butter .

He is said to be Chanakaya of Indian politics. We need to wait and see how far he can sustain this credit.

Given the absence of proper strategy and lack of leadership in opposition , his job has become easy.

In Karnataka, in seats where it is more of a triangular contest, he will sail through with his calculations. But the real test is in those seats where there is two party contest.

Do bjp have manifesto. On what ground they will ask the people to vote.Siddaramaiah is a real hero.He has the won the heart of the farmers fulfilling all the promises he has made. Not a single scam which certainly has put him on the front foot. What Amit shah can do.Just see the internal fight between the bjp leaders. There is a possibility that congress can still win the elections with absolute majority.Remember there were 124 plus(BJP) 2014 they were reduced to 44.And you think from 44 they are going to make 150 mission.Even a born baby will tell their fate.Over confidence of bjp leadelrs will bring a clean to congress.

This was exactly as expected. I refer to the last paragraph in the report about the camaraderie existing between Shivakumar of the Congress and Yeddyurappa of the BJP. I reiterate the drama between the political parties is only for the man on the street. Behind the curtains, these political 'rivals' are on the same page, drinking from the same glass. People are fools to fight among themselves.

So do you mean people vote for the party who is better at fooling them during election campaign ??? If so, that means in 2014 BJP have been better at fooling the public during the election campaign ??? So does that solve the mystery why 15 lakhs did not come in the account ???
