I don't know why the youths take extreme steps these days. The parents who love since our birth, their unconditional love is greater than the person who don't love you whom you have met sometime ago..

Before taking extreme decision just think about your parent's unlimited love and care.. Being a recipient of their love is million times better than thinking about a person who don't know the value of your love.

How sad.The boy seems to be not yet matured.Nowadays children get too early matured, make less thoughts of having a good studys and earn money ,but more of having fun and boyfriends/girlfriends.It must be the modern technical advance, more money in hand thanks to parents.Less communication with parents too.Other side parents too have less time to spend with children, because of working in foreign land or less time.causes are many.when parents feel that their child is in good mood ,worried ,take time to ask if anything wrong, let other work by side, and please spend a bit time with your child.Specially in teenager time they go a bit wild, but no worry .See if they go to school or elsewhere to pass time.time to time control marks ,inquire with teachers.second drugs are very much in coming.take care.Probabaly this boy didnt tell at home his worries. He should have waited for one more day and talked to the girl again to make peace.instead of suecide.Afterall the girl too didnt realize his intention.was underaged girl?sad heartfelt sympathy to the family.why did his school mates ,teachers didnt notice it?

Suicide was not a solution to that young man. He has broken the hearts of his parents and this will be on their mind throughout the lifetime. The girl will find someone and go on with her life.

very sad, sympathy with parents of deceased.
only not talking for 2 days such a extreme step, very bad.
we have seen in many such vice versa cases, if girl commit suicide, boy will be taking in custody for abatement of suicide.

The power of positive thinking is missing here. The positive thinking will make all the difference, especially in most of the cases. Positive thinking can give you more confidence, improve your mood and even reduce the likelihood of developing conditions such as hypertension, depression and other stress- related disorders. It's high time that the new generation especially the teenagers should adopt positivity in a difficult situation and move on in life.

Recently I read a anxious query sent by a 15 year old girl, to a counselor, that she feels very depressed as all her friends have boyfriends excepting her n no boy is showing interest in her despite good looks et all; this shows today's trend of where we r heading! Yesterday in Mumbai a 13 year old taken for checkup for obesity was found to be 6.5 months gravid!! Age for first sexual encounter has come down to early teenage, n most from affluent families have little inhibition in having casual sex! Drinking age for boys has come down from 16-17, 3 years ago, to 13-14 today per NIMHANS!!

Definitely we cannot change the situation but by becoming close friends of children can surmount any unpleasant situation with tact, maturity, n understanding! Today force, caning etc can have deleterious results as we can read in news daily!

Recently a police officers only son stabbed his mother mercilessly n even drew a smiley emoticon with the blood next to her body as he was irritated with her regular pestering of his poor academic performance!!

Under such circumstances lucky r those parents who have decently obedient n open children or else it is a dicey task to control youngsters till sanity gets into their white matter!!

This immature boy could not take pain of leaving a girl who he knew for few months or years... but giving pain of the life to his parents, who took care of him from his birth was OK to him!

    Bro,
It's easy to talk in hindsight, but who knows what he went through after this breakup, could be friends started making fun of him etc.! We cannot ever compare a mature mind with that of an adolescents, which is in a state of turmoil as the production of hormones surge!!

This is a very common problem to commit suicide between the youths of today. For people belonging to an older generation suicide was probably the last resort to solve a problem, if that. But now a days youths seem to think suicide is the first solution in order to solve ANY problem no matter how small it may be. They don't realise that by committing suicide they don't get a second chance to try and solve the problem in some other way. Issue is also due to the fact that parents don't have the time to sit down and simply talk to their children and hear them out, listen to their thoughts and feelings and make sure they're moving along with a positive outlook on life. Times have changed, in the old times children used to listen to their parents and do as they say without question, even if they didn't want to. But now children question their parents and do what they're told not to do. So that's why it's important that parent's don't use the techniques that their parents used on them and just force their views on their children. Sit down and talk to them and try to build a positive relationship with your children where they can feel comfortable to share every problem with you. Teach them the difference between right and wrong but not just by yelling at them and forcing your views on them. It is important children feel valued and loved at home. When children come to you with their problems, ask them how they would solve it. Then guide them by sharing what you think might work and what you think needs to be changed. Along with solving their problems this also builds a relationship between the child and parent/s where they feel that they're point of views will be heard and makes them more comfortable to share their future problems with you. Start this from an early age so that when they're older the relationship will be strong between the child and parent/s and they'll feel comfortable enough to share big problems with you, like relationship issues.

Very true doctor. Here most of the comments posted are scolding the boy or the girl but no one is looking at the root cause. It is important for children to have a very strong bond with at least one adult in their life with whom they can feel comfortable to share any problem with, that adult can be a parent, grandparent, another family member, a guardian, teacher, anyone. Problems can't be solved if the children don't share them and for them to share their problems they need to have a strong bond with that adult figure in their life.

Problem with today's youth. They think they know more. Actually speaking, they know bugger all...
Life is like the ocean. Throw your line in and get a catch if lucky. Or else go to market and buy fish. Same way, if you're not lucky with a girl find another. This is a young guy. Feel he's depressed not girl problem.

Sad, rest in peace. This could happen when one isolates themselves tobe with one person. 20 is not an age to even get married. It would have been better for them to focus on education, work which would have helped in the long run.

Impossible to read the minds of youth now a days!!! The reason to end life may be anything and everything from "1 mark less for a rank" to "love failure" to "blue whale challenge"!!!! Proper Counselling is a must to each and every child.
