Mumbai, Aug 24: The concluding ceremony of Yakshagana Bayalata and award distribution were held by Ajekar Kalabhimana Balaga at Radhabhai Thimmappa Bhandary auditorium, Kurla east on Sunday August 21.

The programme was chaired and inaugurated by Bantara Sangha Mumbai former president Karnire Vishwanath Shetty Aikala. Guests of honour, Bhasker Shetty Mira Road, businessman Uday Hegde Aliala, Latha Prabhaker Shetty, Shanker Shetty Mulund, Arunodaya S Rai Biliyuruguthu lit the lamp and set the programme in motion.

Well known Yakshagana artistes in the hometown presented Manisha, Yakshagana play.



Mumbai Bunts literary and cultural committee executive president Ravindranath M Bhandary honored entrepreneur Diwaker Shetty Mudradi with Yaksharaksha arts honour, Ashok Bhat Ujire with Rs fifty thousand and annual special award, Yakshagana scholar Dr M Prabhaker Joshi and Yakshagana guru Ganesh Kolakadi cash award and Yaksharaksha award, Mathoshree Sampa S Shetty memorial awards to artiste Dayananda Shettigar Mijar, journalist Rons Bantwal on behalf of Thonse Sanjiva Poojary, Yakshagana comedy artiste Dinesh Rai Kadaba and Pattanaje Tulu film actress Reshma S Shetty.

Drama artiste Ashok Pakkala compered the programme. Karnuru Mohan Rai introduced the guests and proposed the vote of thanks. Ajekar Kalabhimana Balaga founder president Ajekar Balakrishna Shetty gave the keynote address and honored Asranna. Honorary secretary Sudhaker Shetty Ennehole and other office bearers draped shawls on guests, presented mementos and flower bouquets.
