Mumbai, Aug 28: Billavara Association on behalf of Gurunarayana Yakshagana mandali held their thirteenth annual presentation of Yakshagana arts awards ceremony in memory of the mother of Jaya C Suvarna at Narayanaguru auditorium, Santacruz east on Saturday, August 26.

Dr Chinnappa Gowda presented the annual Yakshagana award for 2017 to Yakshagana artiste M T Poojary along with Vedavathi M Poojary and daughter Asha M Poojary and congratulated them.



Association chief secretary Dharmapal G Anchan gave the keynote address. Cultural sub committee executive president Dayanand R Poojary Kalva welcomed everyone. Akshaya monthly magazine editor Dr Ishwar Alevoor introduced the guests. Assistant editor Harish K Hejmady compered the programme and read the names of the felicities.

Cultural committee honorary secretary Ashok K Kukyan Sasihitlu proposed vote of thanks.

Gurunarayana Yakshagana mandali performed Bhargava Vijaya Tulu Yakshagana as part of the cultural programme.
