Mumbai, Sep 4: Kannada Sangha Santacruz on Saturday September 2 held their 60th annual meeting at Billavara Bhavana mini hall, Santacruz. L V Ameen, president of the Sangha chaired the meeting.

Joint treasurer R P Hegde and joint secretary Chandrahas J Kotian were present on the dais. Honorary chief secretary Sujatha R Shetty read the report of the previous year's annual meeting. Honorary treasurer C A Ramesh A Shetty presented the previous year's accounts. Fifteen members of the working committee were elected in the meeting.

Working committee members Shivarama Kotian, G R Bangera, Sudhaker Uchil, Laxmi N Kotian, Suma M Poojary, Vanitha Nonda, education committee president Bannanje Ravindra Ameen, advisory committee members Narayana S Shetty, B R Poonja, social and cultural committee president Sharada S Poojary, auditors Dinesh Ameen, sub committee members Prasanna Shetty, Shivarama Kotian, Lingappa B Ameen, Usha P Shetty, Chandayya Poojary, Shalini G Shetty and others were present.

Nearly 28 members submitted their nominations for membership of working committee consisting of fifteen members. Elections were held for the first time in six decades.
Laxmi N Kotian sang a prayer. Honorary chief secretary Sujatha R Shetty welcomed and proposed the vote of thanks. Scholarships for the year 2017 and monetary help for adopted students were distributed in the meeting.
