Mumbai, Sept 6: The muhurat of the new Konkani drama 'Mhoje Voili Kaals Nivar' was held on September 3 at 4 pm at the St Louis Church hall, Dahisar west. This is the third Konkani drama written and produced by Joseph D’Souza, Borivali. The earlier Konkani drama 'Estel konachi vhokhol' was played in 2011 and 'Nirmillen chukana' was launched in 2016 and six of these shows have already been played at various places in the city.

The muhurat of the new drama began at 4 pm with a prayer and thanksgiving by Leo Coutinho. The chief guest, Leo Fernandes, Jeri Meri, the guest of honour, Francis Fernandes Cascia, director of the drama, William Machado and writer/producer, Joseph D’Souza, were on the dais. To begin with, flower bouquets were offered to the honourable guests and new actors were welcomed by flower bouquets by old actors of earlier dramas.

George Sequeira, Helen Noronha, Juliana D’Souza and Janet Saldanha read the second scene of the drama for the benefit of the guests. The chief guest, Leo Fernandes released the book of the new drama by cutting the ribbon. The same book was handed over to William Machado, director of the drama by Joseph D’Souza.

The chief guest, Leo Fernandes, guest of honour, Francis Fernandes Cascia, director, William Machado and writer/producter, Joseph D’Souza, Borivali addressed the gathering.

Vote of thanks was given by Cyril Monis. At the end of the programme snacks were served to the guests. The programme was conducted by Henry George D’Souza, Borivali.
