Mumbai: Model Co-operative Bank bags first prize for overall performance

Mumbai, Sep 28: Model Co-operative Bank Ltd continues to receive accolades for their overall best performance from ‘The Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd Mumbai, for the fourth consecutive year.

The Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd, Mumbai (an association of co-operative banks) at their award function held on Wednesday, 27th September, 2017 awarded Model Co-operative Bank Ltd 1st Prize for overall best performance among co-operative banks for the financial year 2015 – 2016 and 2nd Prize for the financial year 2016 – 17 in the category of deposits between Rs.501 crores to Rs.1000 crores.

The function was held at Hotel City Point, Khodadad Circle, Dadar (E), Mumbai and was attended by senior management and directors from co-operative banks. This award is another milestone for Model Co-operative Bank.



Association president Dattaram Chalke presented the awards to Model Co-operative Bank Ltd. Vice Chairman William J Sequeira, General Manger & CEO William L D’Souza, Directors Paul Nazareth, Vincent Mathias and Abraham C Lobo.

The Bank has its roots in the Mangalorean Catholic Co-operative Credit Society Ltd, which was registered on 26th April, 1916. The bank has completed 100 years of its foundation and is proud to receive this award in recognition of its excellent services. This is the fourth consecutive year the bank has been awarded Best Bank award by the Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Association Ltd, Mumbai.
