Mumbai: Kannada Sangha women's wing holds Sharada Pooja, Haladi Kumkuma

Mumbai, Sep 29: The women's wing of Kannada Sangha celebrated the festival of Sharada Puja in their office in Matunga on Wednesday evening September 27.

Chief guest, social worker and littérateur Prabha N Suvarna lit the lamp and set the programme in motion.

Women members who were present conducted Arasina Kumkuma, Maha Mangalarathi and exchange of prasadam as part of the cultural programme. Shalini Pai and party sang bhajans and devotional songs. Prakash Naik played the tabla and Baji Rao played the harmonium.

Women's wing executive president Rajani Pai welcomed everyone and delivered the keynote address. Shalini Pai sang a prayer song. Working committee member Sharada Ambesange introduced the guests and proposed the vote of thanks. President of the Sangha, Gururaj S Nayak compered the programme.
