Bengaluru, Oct 27: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch a statewide agitation if chief minister Siddaramaiah fails to remove Bengaluru development minister K J George from the cabinet, warned BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa.
Addressing a press conference, he demanded that George should resign from his post after he was named as an accused in the FIR registered by the CBI in the DySP M K Ganapati death case.
If George continues his office, it will hamper a free and fair investigation into the case, said Yeddyurappa.

Meanwhile, chief minister Siddaramaiah did not react to the issue on Thursday. “The issue just came to my notice and I am yet to get details about the FIR. Will react only after I get the details,” he said.
KJ George expressed confidence stating that CID has given him a clean chit in the case. “I will react only after CBI submits its interim report in two or three months,” he said.
