Mangaluru: Abhayachandra ready to vacate seat to pave way for Mithun Rai

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Nov 3: Four time MLA representing Mulky-Moodbidri assembly constituency, Abhayachandra Jain, is willing to give up the chance to fight the assembly election for the fifth time in a row, subject to the condition that the party should issue ticket to Dakshina Kannada district youth Congress president, Mithun Rai. He revealed his mind during his interview with a Kannada daily.

Abhayachandra's stand in favour of the youth Congress has come out at a time when there is information that MLC and chief whip of the legislative council, Ivan D'Souza, has been trying to become official candidate of Congress for this constituency in the next assembly election.

Abhayachandra, who is happy about development works conducted during his four and half years of this term, is inclined to leave the seat if youth Congress is given a chance to fight the election. He said he is not seeking ticket for his own family member or a relative but just for a candidate belonging to youth Congress.

Jain said that he is fit to contest the election again, but explained that as a sincere worker of the party, he is prepared to leave the seat if youth Congress gets a chance to fight the election. He added that those who succeed in getting support from party workers from the constituency will alone succeed in the election.

If not Jain, it should be Mithun Rai from Congress. if Mithun donot get the ticket then it would be cake walk for Mr.Kotian or Adhikari from BJP. Regards to Ivan, not sure on what basis he can ask the ticket? He has done nothing even for Christina community . If you see the ground reality Mithun is very busy in setting up the base and the winning chances are high this time. Another advantage is Ashwin(JDS) got MLC seat.

It appears to be there are 2 groups fighting each other for seat (a)Abhay Group (b)Other group with rich influential people trying to field their own candadates across state so that they will use such candidates to do their work in government latter and get huge favours in return by using winning candidates .
Now people must decide if they need Abhay Candidate or Candidate belonging to influencial People?
Answer Is pretty Simple. Its Abhay Group Must Get a fair chance. Congress leaders Must listen To Abhay .

Stop challenging to the party Mr Jain. People can see your desperation and hidden agenda. It is too late situation is out of your hand. What ever you said and did is recorded, few months back you were sharing the stage with Mr Moily and Mr Dsouza now you saying that Mr Rai. What you think about people in your contucency are they blind ,it is not like a when you win the first election bolo bai bolo Govinda. We are in 2017. You enjoyed in the party now you challenging the party, don't forget what happened to Mr Power, you are nothing in front of him. Either you or your chela Mithun will not get party tickets any of the seat in up coming election. Stop doing this drama and respect the party.

Giving the seat to Ivan will be like surrendering the seat to BJP.

The good work and the healthy relationship by both Abaychandra and J.R. Lobo will be forgotten if Congress denies the seat to Mithun. Denying the seat to Mithun will be a huge revolt in Congress not only in Moodbidri but in Mangalore too.

Mithun has a well built relationship and has performed well in every angle towards the success and personally reaching the people.

Bajpards say, Abhayachandra does not want to contest because he fears he will lose. But reality is, he had openly announced during his last election campaign itself, he would make way to youth leader in next election and this is going to be his last attempt.
So looking at popularity, Mithun would be the best bet for Congress as he mingles well with people. Ivan will lose for sure in this region as he has no close connection with people here.

Regarding BJP, ever since BJP learnt Abhaya is not contesting, 7-8 mini BJP leaders are trying to grab this opportunity and contest election as they feel, other Congress leaders are not strong enough. So, BJP will have tough time in cutting ticket as lot of contenders waiting for chance!
Also, Umanath Kotian after losing last time, not much in touch with people of this region, so he is not considered best candidate here.

BJP wants to win Moodbidri for the first time, but people of Moodbidri are not interested to spoil peaceful atmosphere of this surrounding by giving chance to them. Till BJP had no strong presence here, people from all religion/faith were never experienced any communal disharmony & they want to continue with harmonious nature.
Congress.... yes, they can be defeated, only by Congressies, not BJP!!!

If Ivon D'souza contest from Moodbiri/Mulky constituency it is THE END for Congress because Abhaya Chandra will never support him instead he will be anti and he will tell the people to caste vote to oppossition party that is sure, the way he did for Janardhan Poojary.

If Abhayachandra wants to sacrifice this seat for Youth Congress, let Karnataka State Youth Congress President Basanagouda Badarli, get this seat. Mithun Rai is an outsider to Moodbidri Constituency.
If Basanagouda Badarli is contesting from Moodbidri, all congress workers would work hard for his win.
Both Ivan and Mithun are outsiders to Moodbidri. Both are not good. I think, Ivan had got only 1500 votes earlier in Kapu as an independent candidate. Mithuns personal credentials are being regularly discussed everywhere.
Are we planning to start Ladies Bar, Pub, Disco, Cock fight, gambling etc in Moodbidri? Or are we interested towards development ?
It is good, if Abhayachandra himself re-contest. His popularity is still working out well, when compared to both Ivan and Mithun.
Ivan may be given an opportunity to contest for some Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat elections. Because till now, he has not won even one Taluk Panchayat or Zilla Panchayat election. Similarly Mithun should be given Grama Panchayat or maximum Taluk Panchayat seat.
Abhayachandra Sir, Yenklek Bethe Yerla Bodchi...EERE VOTE k unthule. Erek jana Vote Paduver.

Abhayachandra Jain as a person is a good man and maintained communal harmony in moodbidri mulki constituency, but certainly will lose even if he contests this time ,has done no developmental work during his tenure.
Mithun Rai might have a chance but Ivan will certainly lose against BJP.
