Mangalore: Vehicle Owners Might Face Diesel Shortage

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jun 29 : The Dakshina Kannada and Udupi District Petroleum Dealers Association has warned of a possible diesel shortage in near future. In a release released recently, the association president B Mohan Nayak explained, that the fuel stations who are dependent on diesel being supplied by Bharath Petroleum Corporation Ltd., (BPCL)may face shortage of this product.

The Association has explained, that the BPCL has with immediate affect, fixed a monthly ceiling on the quantum of diesel a bunk can get from it. Accordingly, the bunks which have already exhausted this limit, will not get diesel afresh from the company. They will have to wait till the start of the next month to get fresh supplies.

At the same time, the association has advised people not to resort to panic buying or hoarding of petroleum products, as this condition affects only the BPCL outlets.
