Mangaluru, Jan 24: Niranjan Rajeev of Lourdes Central School, Bejai, has brought laurels to the city winning chess championship.

The class 9 student won the under-17 Karnataka State Schools Chess Championships.

The event was held in Mysuru on January 20 and 21 and was organised by Mysuru Chess Center under the aegis of United Karnataka Chess Association.
