Mangaluru: Deepak murder - court remands accused to police custody

Mangaluru, Jan 26: A court here remanded to police custody all the six persons arrested on Wednesday January 24 relating to the murder of Deepak Rao from Katipalla on January 3.

Muhammed Rafiq alias Mango Rafiq, Irfan, Muhammed Anas from Katipalla, Muhammed Zahid, Hidayatulla and Imran Nawaz from Chokkabettu, who face charges of murder conspiracy and extending assistance for Deepak's murder, were sent to police custody as per the request of the prosecution. The police custody will be for three days.

In this case, four accused who were arrested are in judicial custody. Pinki Nawaz from Krishnapura and Rizwan from Katipalla who had suffered bullet injuries to their legs when they tried to flee from the police who were chasing them, continue to be in the hospital.
