Beltangady, Mar 6: In an incident which happened on the evening of Monday March 5, a person who apparently was drunk, misbehaved with local MLA, K Vasant Bangera.

The person in question, identified as party worker, Venkappa Kotian from Indabettu, wanted to speak to the MLA about new pump set. He also spoke ill of a party worker at which the MLA became unhappy and sent him out. The MLA was busy speaking to people about various issues, but the man repeatedly tried to intervene by claiming that he had something to discuss with Bangera.

The man was asked by the MLA to wait, duly assuring him that his problem would be dealt with. When he continued with his misdemeanor, Bangera asked him to come to his office the next day. The man sat on the stairs nearby, hurled abuses at the MLA, and repeatedly shouted that he would not spare the MLA.

When the MLA proceeded towards his house by climbing down the stairs, the person intercepted the MLA. The people tried to calm him down but he tried to assault the people. Angered by his behaviour, the people taught him a lesson. The MLA told them not to indulge in such things, and that the person would have spoken ill in a drunken state. He also asked the police not to register any case relating to this incident.

I would request Mr. Vasanth Bangera to personally visit his residence and talk to him personally in the presence of his village elders and fix the problems instantly.
This is the best way of connecting to the unhappy citizen.
It is easy break trust than restore it later.

I applaud the MLA, Vasant Bangera, on his good deed not to lodge a police complaint against the offender. Well done Sir!

Sometimes, when someone had a few drinks, and under intoxication, he/she tends to over react, and do some stupid acts, and so, one needs to understand such situation, and the honorable MLA has done exactly so, in restraining himself, and forgiving the offender.

This person might be having some mis understanding with MLA. Consuming liquor and drug make a man so perfect that he speaks truth.... It is natual to blame BJP in this case because those who have yellow fever always murmur about yellow objects and their vision is not clear...
