Bengaluru, May 19: The Congress on Saturday May 19 made serious allegations against chief minister B S Yeddyurappa's son B S Vijayendra, accusing him of luring a Congress MLA with Rs 15 crore to support the BJP during floor test.
Shivaram Herbbar, Yellapur Congress MLA's wife Vanajakshi allegedly received a call from Vijayendra who offered Rs 15 crore, a ministerial position and withdrawal of court cases.
In an audio clip which is going viral, Vijayendra is purportedly heard negotiating with the MLA's wife.
B J Puttaswamy who is a close aide of Yeddyurappa is too accused by Congress leader V S Ugrappa of luring MLA's wife.
Naren Raj Purohit, a Congress supporter too shared a link of audio on twitter and said, "BSY's Son BY Vijayendra negotiating with Congress MLA's daughter. Crores of money, ministerial position, withdrawal of court cases. Need anymore proof of Modi & Shah's corruption free India. These two men are the biggest shame, blot on our Country (sic)."
This is the second audio clip that Congress has released in the last 24 hours. On Friday May 18, the Congress released an audio clip where mining baron Janardhana Reddy is purportedly heard offering Congress MLA from Raichur ministerial berth of his choice and promising to make him '100 times' richer. The BJP denied the allegations and said it was a fake CD.
B S Yeddyurappa who took oath two days ago is facing the Supreme Court-ordered floor test in the Karnataka assembly on Saturday at 4 pm.
