Bengaluru, May 20: The department of personnel and administrative reforms has withdrawn transfer of IPS officers ordered by B S Yeddyurappa within hours of taking charge as chief minister of Karnataka.
Railway additional director general of police, Amar Kumar Pandey, and Karnataka State Reserve Police DIG, Sandeep Patil, had been transferred to state intelligence department. Bidar district superintendent of police, D Devaraj, was transferred to the city central division while Anti Corruption Bureau superintendent of police, S Girish, had been transferred to north east division. Chikkamagaluru district superintendent of police, Annamalai, was transferred to Ramanagara as superintendent of police.

In the meanwhile, the state had received communication from Supreme Court that there is no provision for the government to take any administrative or policy decisions before proving majority on the floor of the assembly. On the basis of this order, the department took the decision to reverse the said orders, it is learnt.
