Mangaluru, May 21: H D Kumaraswamy after visiting Dharmasthala on Tuesday said that he would implement the Yettinahole project without any damage or alteration on the surface of the Western Ghats.
Speaking to the media persons HDK on May 21 said that he would take people of coastal Karnataka into confidence and implement the project in favour of the farmers without damaging the natural wealth.
Reacting to communal incidents in the coastal region, Kumaraswamy said that instead of involving in such incidents, people of the region must live in harmony.
Yettinahole Integrated Drinking Water Project is designed to quench the thirst of nearly 7 million people in drought-prone Kolar, Chikkaballapur, Ramanagaram, Tumakuru, Bengaluru Rural, and Hassan districts.
