Mangaluru, May 22: After the successful ‘March 22’, a new Kannada film from the banner ACME Movies International, ‘'Hottegaagi Genu Battegagi’, directed by Narendra Babu, starring Anant Nag and Radhika Chetan, is all set to release on May 25.

Addressing media here at press club on Tuesday, May 22, director Narendra Babu said, “‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’ is the third major film I have directed. After the success of ‘Kabaddi’, I took a hiatus and now extremely happy to have completed this project. I faced a few difficulties during the initial stages of the film. After many requests, I finally managed to convince Anant Nag to play the lead role,"

Showering praise on producer Harish Sherigar, Narendra Babu said, “It was Anant Nag who arranged for my meeting with Harish Sherigar in Mangaluru. He is a very simple and honest person and also conducts his work in a disciplined way. Ramachandra Hadapad, although a youth, has done a fantastic job with the sound tracks for the film.”

Actress Radhika Chetan, who plays a central role in the film, excited about the prospects of the project and said, "I am happy that I decided to do this film. All the members of the crew did a great job and worked very hard. I also got an opportunity to shoot a part of the film at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Working for this film brought me great satisfaction.”

Producer Harish Sherigar said, “I am eagerly anticipating the success of this film. ‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’ is the first Kannada film to be shot at the Burj Khalifa. I received an award for my previous film 'March 22' and I am sure this film will also achieve great success.”

Giving a small insight into the film, Narendra Babu revealed that ‘Hottegagi Genu Battegagi’ revolves around a man who worked at a publication firm for 40 years, but is forced by circumstances to work even after retirement. He joins an IT firm and imparts his virtuous belief that marriage is a God-given union to the wayward generation of youth at the firm. He added that the film was made for family viewing

'Hottegaagi Genu Battegaagi' will be releasing in Suchitra theatre and all multiplexes in Mangaluru.
