Mumbai: Minors travelling to UAE sans parents need authorisation - Air India

Mumbai, Jun 2 (PTI): Minors aged 18 years and below will not be allowed to travel to the UAE without an authorisation letter from their parents in case they are not travelling with them, as per an advisory issued by Air India.

The move, which is effective from today, comes following a warning from Dubai Police and other relevant authorities to prevent child trafficking, said the advisory.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners-Dubai (Immigration) notified the same from June 1 to prevent child trafficking, Air India said.

    If someone accomplish them as if they will ask him,simply it is not possible, so many kids travel it will be a additional burden to the airlines first of all they are not giving good service

    Sunny marnemikatte,Why should be a burden to the air hostess?Such children are cared by seperate air hostess or a person accompaning them.It reqiures of course payment .Many children travel so to their parents living in foreign country.For your knowledge ,there are also such services to children travelling per rail too.Chlids age is considered.Children travelling during holidays to their parents from either from internat or other states from mother to father (In divorce cases)or vice versa ,make use of it.
