Mangaluru, Jun 12: “Unless we give importance to Indian values and culture the education is incomplete. The prime goal of education is man-making and total perfection in individuals,” said Dr Muralidhara Naik, retired HOD of Hindi, University College, Mangaluru.
He was addressing the first batch of students, parents and the faculty of Shakthi PU College Shakthingar. V K Thalithaya, educationist, K C Naik, Saguna C Naik, managing committee members, Baikady Janardana Achar, administrator, and Madhulika, principal of Shakthi Residential School were present.
Naseem Banu, institute development officer welcomed the parents and students. Prabhakar G S, principal of the college addressed the gathering highlighting the salient features of the College. Priyanka rendered the vote of thanks.
Shakthi Residential School welcomes tiny tots
The teaching of basic letters to the beginners was given a good start at Shakthi Residential School at Shakthinagar,. The children of first standard started writing letters on rice sitting on the lap of teachers.
V K Thalithaya was the guest of honour on the occasion. He said that the children have immense potentiality which is to be brought out by the teachers. They have to create an environment of learning with keen love and affection towards the children.
The governing body members of the school K C Naik, Saguna C Naik, Dr Muralidhar Naik and Naseem Banu, the institute development officer were present.
Madhulika, principal addressed the parents about the salient features of the school, scholastic, co-scholastic and extra-curricular activities. Prabhakara G S, principal of the Shakthi PU College was the chief guest. Baikady Janardana Achar, administrator of the Shakthi Education Trust, welcomed the gathering. Sharmila Shetty rendered the vote of thanks and Dimple compered the programme.
