Bengaluru: IAS officers perceived to be close to Siddaramaiah transferred

Bengaluru, Jun 27: Through orders issued on Tuesday June 26, the state government transferred nine IAS officers in strategic places to different departments. These nine officers were perceived to be trusted lieutenants of former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, sources stated.

This happens to be the first major operation conducted by the coalition government headed by H D Kumaraswamy after he took over power, in which officers major posts were shifted.

Additional chief secretary to the chief minister, M Laxminarayan, has been transferred, and Dr E V Ramana Reddy has been brought in his place. Additional secretary to the chief minister, B S Shekharappa, was transferred as director of Command Area Development Authority. K A Dayanand, deputy commissioner of Bengaluru city district, was shifted and BBMP special commissioner, BM Vijayakumar was brought in his place.
