Moodbidri, Jun 28: A motor bike rider, who suffered grievous injuries in a serial accident,  lost his battle for life at Beluvai near here on the evening of Wednesday June 27.

The deceased was Vinay Hegde (61), an entrepreneur from Kesargadde village. Hegde was going to his house at Kesargadde on his motor bike from Beluvai on Wednesday evening when a motorbike coming from opposite direction hit him in the road opposite Beluvai school. As a result, Vinay lost control over his vehicle after which his two-wheeler hit an auto rickshaw and he was thrown to the road with considerable force. He suffered serious injuries in this accident.

Although Hegde was immediately admitted into a hospital and treated, he did not survive, it is gathered. Rider of the other motor bike, identified as Akhil from Bannadka, too suffered injuries. He is being treated in a hopsiital.'

The town police have registered a case in this regard.
