Byndoor, Jun 30: Byndoor MLA B M Sukumar Shetty who heard the pitiable story of Santubai, an elderly woman living in a hut at Kovinagudde, near Mavinakodlu, Kullunje, Shankernarayana, visited her in the evening on June 28 and contemplated the situation.

Santubai stays with her daughter and granddaughter in the weak old hut. Though her house was approved by the government three years ago, the work has stopped at the foundation stage due to technical reasons. Therefore, the 80-year-old woman stays with cows in the hut.

The MLA who was moved by the sight, ordered for construction of the house immediately. He asked why such problems of families in agony in the village are not solved. He asked to set right the entries in the revenue department and release funds. He also said that he will provide necessary tiles for the house.

Member of zilla panchayat, Rohith Kumar Shetty, taluk panchayat member Umesh Shetty Kalgadde, BJP mandala chief secretary Balachandra Bhat and others were present.
