After post-mortem of the bodies were performed at the government hospital Puttur, the funeral was performed after bringing the bodies to the residence of a relative nearby.

In the other incident which happened in Sudekattemar in Anantady village, Bantwal taluk on Saturday, a woman accidentally fell into a well that was full due to heavy rain. The victim has been identified as Kamala (60), wife of the late Doomanna Gowda, resident of Sudekattemar, Anantady village.
