Kasargod: Madrasa debars girl student for sporting bindi

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Jul 8: In an inhuman act, a Madrasa in Kozhikode has debarred a fifth standard girl student for wearing sandal bindi on her forehead.

The girl had sported a bindi on her forehead when acting a role she had been given in a short film. Taking offense at this act, the Madrasa expelled her from the class.

Father of the girl, Malayil, has strongly condemned this act. In a Facebook post, he said that he is lucky that the family was not stoned for this mistake.

A number of persons, who followed this post, have condemned the Madrasa for its action. Some others have stood by the Madrasa, holding that it was justified in acting against the erring student. They say that Muslim girls are barred from wearing bindi as per Shariyat law and that wearing of bindi should be treated as un-Islamic.

World know which community is engage state terrorism across the globe. Which community is the most racist in the world. Muslim countries are safer for you to live than the countries ruled by your cimmunities. You will be kicked out one fine day on racist attack.

You are so ignorant about the fact that islam is the only fastest growing religion in the world especially in usa and europe where women are embracing more than men. You need to work out on current affairs.

If you extrapolate the human population growth rate with change in demographics, there will be a point where life will not be sustainable on Earth and that point is way before one religion becoming statistical majority in India, let alone every one becoming followers.

Abdul, Do anything in your house without interruption of others its okay but when it is coming to others property please donot dare to fingure. then no one will tolerate your belief. Everywhere you guys carry your burden of religion to impose on others will not be tolerated in this digital world. big size of arab beleievers are turned as atheist just bcze of this hypocracy and wars and deaths in their countries, who helped them in need and who shelter them. go and google and you will find the answers, they realized that only poor suffers of such fake laws imposed on poor beleievers and the rich do all stuff against the same law implemented by someone without any ideas., live a life as human helps everyone without mixing religion and its broken ways. You will do very well in your life as a good human. all these broken peace messed up beliefs will take aways human life and peace in society., Most of the hindus are peaceful and left them be one without interfering in their lives. India was great nations just turning little bit different just bcze of such hypocracy done by few bunch of you. peace is love and love is peace. religions is just a rule to live a life but if any religion is teaching violence that is evil and should not be practiced. thank god we have billion people in india with so much faiths and everyone do their best to live in peace. pls do your best to live in peace. Thank god that your sisters goes to St.Agnes for studies and get a quality education from those nuns who sacrificed their lives for this cause to teach your sister, auntus, mother, list goes on. Please pray for them and thank them for their holy services to humans.

Abdul, that is the problem. You talked about freedom, choices, right, rules when St. Agnes issue came and now what is happening here? As far as Islam reaching to everyone, you have to go to those countries like Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan and see how well they live in harmony. You do not need to be of same religion to live in harmony as long as you respect others, you can live in harmony. Even Saudi Arabia is relaxing the rules now and you're talking about whole world becoming Islam, for what?? You don't even follow Islam word by word as of Quran. Do you shave, wear western outfit, take your pics??

The Muslim rules changed in a matter of 10 to 15 years or max 20 yeara in India. My Muslim friends mothers and sisters used to wear karimani previously. Muslim ladies in kerala during my childhood there was no burka or parda system. Even in Ponnani (a holy place where new Muslims are given lessons on islam)i I've heard that there is a oil lamp which is being lighted since ages. Only after visiting gulf countries they started following thier system.

But out there in the gulf , these Indian, paki or bangla muslims are not even called as real muslims. Muhammad al-Arifi the great preacher has given his opinion many times , the Indians should read and intropsect. Meanwhile ME is also changing as its not compulsory anymore.

Yes, in the last 2 - 3 decades muslims in India started getting the right Islamic education. Earlier most of them were ignorant and blindly following many practices from their forefathers. Most of these practices, especially those related to marriages and festivals were influenced by the local hindu tradition, like wearing of mangalsutra or taking dowry. No one had the right knowledge and very few were interested in learning the meaning of Quran or Sunnah of Prophet. As the people started receiving more information and knowledge about the teachings of Quran and Hadees they started practicing the religion in a proper way - which is like they practice in most gulf countries.

Are you trying to say that Muslims of old time in India did not go to Jannath because they did not followed Islam but Hindu culture. For your information, culture is different than religion. We all can have Indin culture and we are recognised by that culture when we go abroad (not Middle East) still, we can have our own religion. Bindi is part of Culture, not religion because by religion, strictly bindi is the symbol of Married women (no spinster or widow wear Bindi)

They didnt study in Madrasa nor are they practicing Muslims.... Just having a Muslim name doesn't mean one is a Muslim. They need to follow the Shahadah for what they have taken oath as to follow it, and Islam in not a Polytheism religion but follows Monotheism.

Also Madrasa in not any worldly school to give excuses its a strict place where Deen is learn and followed. Parents were summoned for encouraging the practice which was against Madrasa's code of ethics, since the parents might have not agreed then the Madrasa had to take the decision.

First of all, per the article, the bindi was used for a short film and no where does it say girl came to school with bindi. Secondly, strict interpretation is not possible in modern world because even the strictest of the followers have to interact with soceity for taking care of family needs. Just singling out this girl and parents for this reason is very immature. It is certainly not a loss for the girl because she will get good modern education as compared to the madrasa curriculum and will develop a diverse world view which bring people to global mainstream.

Easy to say brother but hard to practice things in life. All religion are fake. there is no prophets or god existed. we are just humans born and will die. breath deep and forget all the fake stuff and eat everything when you hungry and sleep well and wear what is good. cover or uncover makes no difference. we born naked and go the same way as naked. fake will make all world put on fire. We all blame each others and create mess Syria to Egypt to Yemen to Africa to Isreal list go on and evan everywhere we go not evan sparing on those floating boats to claim refugee status with a lable called religion. do good and love everyone without bias. one thing your mind so called religion imposed on you by a fake stuff by mistake by somone without any clue what that means. never believe in fake stuff.

Fayaz, to be cruelly honest, you're not following Islam. You do have a passport, in which you travelled to Dubai. You can not take your picture strictly as per Quran. You can't shave, you can't wear t-shirt, can't use perfume including after shave, can't brush using modern toothpaste as per Quran. You have to keep chanting prayers whole day, not just 5 times. You should not use modern technology like Internet to write comments here. You can't watch any movies, you can't eat anything that is cooked by unbelievers and you can't greet unbelievers.

You have to have some common sense when you say something. If you can enlighten me on how you can call someone a prophet please because I want to know how someone becomes a prophet. Every holy book is written in earth, nothing is written by God himself. Every prophet's coming is foretold and they did showed some kind of miracle to show that they are indeed prophets.

People thinks differently in two ways. When they are in comfort zone, Strictly they follow all religious rules/laws/or systems. When they are not in comfort zone or in desperate, then they forget everything. How to make living is more important for them than all these rules/systems. Look at film actress or sports personalities they wear anything and everything, no one questions them, because they are very powerful people.
