Chitradurga, Jul 8: It has been found that second year MBBS microbiology - 1 question paper has leaked. The leak came to light when the examination was in progress at Basaveshwara Medical College and Research Centre here on Saturday, July 7. This question paper was widely spread through social websites.

The examination for the second year MBBS course began at 9 am on Saturday in all the centres in Karnataka. As per information, the leakage occurred in about ten minutes since the examination began. As per some rumours, the leakage possibly occurred in this town. There is speculation that doctors and staff of the medical college here might be involved with the leakage.

Dr Prashanth, head of examinations, Basaveshwara Medical College, confirmed that the question paper which was shared on social websites matches with the original. He however insisted that the leakage did not happen in his college. "A thorough investigation can bring out the truth. We are ready for any kind of investigation," he stated.
