Kundapur, Jul 10: Miscreants, who reportedly were unable to strike a partnership deal, allegedly mixed poison into prawn farming ponds at Hosadu near Arate here on Monday morning, July 9, killing prawns worth more than Rs 22 lac.

Prawns numbering 6, 00,000 had been released into two fish ponds spread over an area of three acres belonging to Narasimha Mogaveera. Though the fish were raised for 103 days and ready to be sold, the company which was to buy the fish had not yet taken them away because of rains, it is gathered. Meanwhile, some miscreants poisoned the ponds by pouring ten litres of poisonous substance into each of these ponds by using buckets in the wee hours of Monday July 9. The ponds had prawns weighing nine tonnes, it is said.

This evil activity came to light when Narasimha Mogaveera got up in the morning and went to feed the prawns. The buckets used to mix poison were found lying inside the ponds.

As per information, negotiations were on between certain persons over the prospects of undertaking pisciculture by building similar pond in the area. However, as the deal could not be put through, there was some kind of bitterness between the parties concerned, it is said. It is learnt that the man who was angry at not being able to strike a deal had threatened to destroy the prawns. Narasimha Mogaveera strongly feels that this man may be behind the said misdeed.

A police case has been registered in Gangolli police station in this regard.

Mr. Lobo in such places security systems will be robbed. And talking about prawns life actually it is wasted, else they would have harvested in couple of day any ways. In India everything is becoming expensive buying power is diminishing, Rupee is weakening but most of the people dont know the reason because they are blind folded with DeMo. However here culprit should be bought to the books and should be punished severely.

If the miscreants are caught and proved in the court they did it. Give them the same poison and push them in the same ponds let them also swim like these dead prawns.
