Bengaluru: Lunch at Vidhana Soudha - sworn enemies have food on same table

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Jul 13: Leaders from different parties forgot their enmity, and joined for lunch on a single table. This incident was witnessed at the luncheon hosted at the Banquet Hall of Vidhana Soudha by chief minister (CM) H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday, July 12.

CM H D Kumaraswamy, BJP state president B S Yeddyurappa, who also happens to be the leader of the opposition in the assembly, and former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, sank their differences and had food on the same table. They seemed to be having a lot of interesting topics to discuss during the lunch.

As a steady stream of legislators and senior officials arrived at the hall, chief minister himself extended warm welcome to each one of them. He led Siddaramaiah to the table that had already been earmarked. When Yeddyurappa arrived, Kumaraswamy got up from his table where he was having food, to extend welcome to him.

Various leaders from different parties who assembled there did not show any signs of bitterness which is otherwise evident in their addresses and gestures. Assembly speaker, K R Ramesh Kumar, water resources minister, D K Shivakumar, pro tem chairman of legislative council Basavaraj Horatti and others mixed freely with everyone else and chatted among themselves. They seemed to have pushed politics to backstage albeit temporarily. The warmth and friendliness between the leaders was a rare scene that caught the attention of everyone.

HDK, Siddu and BSY having lunch together, really great and very interesting view to see them together sharing meal.
This is so great, unity in diversity, national spirit among arch rivals.
We commentators may carry along, a long way, our sharp differences,
But they bury all their differences when they come together to eat!
This quality of our great politicians, I appreciate a lot.

You cant expect them to be enemies all the time. They have different opinions but their agenda is the same. The means of implementation of development maybe different but both the party's only agenda is development of Karnataka.
See, after BJP came into power we have seen massive drop in black money.
GST has reduced prices of many products.
    What more do you need?
Moreover the Job thing that a Certain Gandhi was telling is false. Job is increasing year by year.

Good to see that both the parties are having lunch together.
Would it hurt if both the opposition and the coalition worked together for the good of Karnataka.
Imagine the jobs created and the development Karnataka can witness.
We have enough problems already. When its summer there is water scarcity and when there is rain there is a flood.
BJP or Congress/JD(U) their agenda should be for the good of this state

@ Nosnum- With due respect i m sure your not a Mangalorean, i assume u could have been migrated to our city. Please don't spread hatred here. In this platform people may follow different political ideology/views but at the end of today we all consider ourselves as "Namma Kudla" .

Please don't pass the hatred comments here on any religion.

With regard to this i remember Sir Kalam, he was once asked by IIT graduate- Which is your favorite book and would suggest every one to read?- Simple answer given by Sir Kalam- "Please follow your own holy book". this will guide rest of your life and make you to love & respect one another. i think now you must have understood for which context i am referring too.

    Thanks in Advance.

When Amitabh Bachchan was a MP there was Bofors scandal and during Lok Sabha session one minister of the opposition stood up and started questioning Amitabh that he got confused and starting sweating.

After the session got over when Amitabh was walking out, the same minister approached him for a autograph. Looking at him Amitabh was puzzled and he asked just few minutes back you were firing at me for which the minister answered 'Arre woh mera kaam tha abhi please autograph sign kijiye'

Remember in politics there are no enemies only interests.

Dearest nonsense sorry nosnom.............. there is nothing like Hindhu terror. Hindhus are by blood peace lovers no hindhu country is known for terrorism in the entire world till date and will never happen in the future. everyone in this universe knows who are terrorists and the terrorist nations in this entire world. do not dare to term Hindhus as terrorists. dont dare to. Now real terrorists are getting a chance to shift their label to peaceful hindhus and label them as Hindhu terror. instead of taking up negative terms like this try to bring in peace among different religion if possible. if bringing peace is not your cup of tea just sit back and take rest dont create unrest among others. i hope you have lot of things to accomplish in your personal life concentrate on that instead of labeling various religion wasting your time.
