Kundapur, Aug 5: Pro-society organisations and social activists these days can be seen helping and rehabilitating mentally sick people who are orphaned and live on roadside. In a very rare case, the police department in Kota police station got down to work to show that they are not less in social work along with their responsibilities.
The police took a mentally sick man under their care, who was wandering in the surroundings of Kota on Saturday, August 4. They gave him bath, food and admitted him to Home of Faith (Vishwaasada Mane), a rehabilitation centre of Yesupura at Shankarapura in Udupi. The work from police has received appreciation in social circles. The department has received laurels for their noble gesture.
Kota police station has been in news for several pro-society works. Recently, after locals informed them about a bison fallen into a well in the night, the police had rushed to rescue it.
