Mangaluru, Oct 15: The concluding programme of the six day long 'Shakthi can create' camp was held at Shakthi Residential School grounds.
District MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the camp has helped to bring about creative and emotional changes among children. “There is no doubt that the camp was a success when we look at the exhibition of items created by children. When several children gather together, they become friends. The camp guides them in the changes,” he said commending the efforts of the school administration to hold the camp in such a vast place.
Vidyarathna English Medium School president Ravindra Shetty Ulidottu said that camps such as these are a platform to unveil the talents of children. “Parents should make it a point to send their children to such camps to shape their lives. 'Shakthi can create' has brought about positive changes in the children,” he opined. He called on the institute to hold more such camps in the future.
School management official Bykadi Janardhan Achar said that children should utilize the knowledge gained in the camp in their lives in order for us to conclude that the camp was a success. “There should be changes in everybody. We should recollect what we learn,” he said.
School administrative board member Saguna C Naik presented certificates to all the children who took part in the camp. Development officer Nasim Banu read the report of the six day camp.
Gopalakrishna temple managing trustee K C Naik, Shakthi Education Trust trustee Dr Muraleedhar Naik, chief advisor Ramesh K, Shakthi pre university college principal Prabhaker G S and development officer Naseem Banu were present.
Students Vaishnavi Kulal and Gauthami S Kulal who took part in the camp compered the programme. Bhuvana sang a prayer song. Tassavi welcomed everyone. Meghana thanked all.
