Shivamogga, Oct 31: BJP leader and MLA, Kumar Bangarappa, accused chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, of being adept at reeling out lies before the general public. He predicted that Kumaraswamy will shortly get trapped in #MeToo case, adding that the victims will be emerging before the people with details of their exploitation.

Addressing a press meet he addressed on Tuesday October 30 at the BJP office here, he stated that lies do not have any witnesses. "If you continue to speak on the current lines, and rake up personal matters like you are doing often, and if you exceed limits, you will get mentioned for your #MeToo lapses. You have done things in which you can be easily caught in #MeToo net," he warned.

He accused the CM Kumaraswamy of levelling personal charges about his father former CM Bangarappa and his family. "If you have genuine concerns about my father, you can speak about his contributions to the society. Shelve your gimmicks and be genuine," he advised Kumaraswamy.

Kumar Bangarappa also asked why Kumaraswamy has not given any preference to his wife Radhika. “Why she is not campaigning in Ramanagara? Have they not accepted her in CM's family? “he said.

Kumaraswamy hit back at the above statement of Kumar Bangarappa, saying that the BJP MLA was foraying into personal domain. "I do not want to respond to statements that are in bad taste. I have not done any crime like the ones being projected by Kumara Bangarappa. Therefore, there is nothing for me to be scared of. I can provide replies if he instead raises questions about the state's development,” he said.

Another Congress leader, B K Hariprasad, said that BJP leaders are better placed to speak about #MeToo as it has leaders like Renukacharya, who became famous by publicly kissing a lady, and Halappa, who was accused of involvement with a lady.
