Ballary: H D Deve Gowda extends support to Rahul Gandhi as Prime Minister candidate

Daijiworld Media Network – Ballary (DC)

Ballary, Oct 31: JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda on Tuesday declared his support to Congress president Rahul Gandhi's candidature for Prime Minister's (PM) post in 2019.

Addressing a campaign rally in Ballary on October 30 in support of Congress candidate V S Ugrappa, Deve Gowda said, ""My party fully extends support to Rahul Gandhi for the PM post after the Lok Sabha polls in 2019. The support of Congress for an anti-BJP front will be crucial in forming the government after the Lok Sabha polls. I am ready to intervene to build a strong secular force to counter the communal BJP,"

However, he refused to reply to senior Congress leader P Chidambaram's statement that the party has not yet declared its PM candidate. "He is a senior leader, and I don't want to react to his statement," Deve Gowda said.

He also added that TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu's efforts to knit a coalition of regional parties must be acknowledged.

"Naidu had played a key role in formation of the National Front government which I headed in 1996," he added.

While responding to media query on BSP led Mayavati's support he said, "Today, Mayawati is with us (JDS) in Karnataka. Tomorrow, she may come along with JDS and Congress in Uttar Pradesh too. Political circumstances may arise to bring BSP, SP and Congress together and in that scenario, I'm ready to intervene to build a strong secular force in the country to counter communal BJP,"

One can not trust HDD as he always has hidden agenda in each of his political move. Probably he knows that RaGa is universally rejected figure so by accepting him as PM candidate HDD wants to damage Congress.

This is just feeding music to RaGas ears so he is happy supporting JDS. HDD has thoroughly studied Ragas track record . He knows and RaGas range is very limited and RaGa will not win a corporation election outside Rae Bareli.

In 1996 just to keep late ABV out of power you were installed by Congress and in a year pulled down by the same people. Your ghatiya bandhan could not keep ABV out of power for more than 2 years. Aab desh badal chukka hai. So don’t ever dream of repeating your 1996 stint.

Dodda Gowdru is trying to be diplomatic . He is a very shrewd politician. With only 30 seats he has the Cong under his right place in Ktaka and Cong cant move a finger without he moving. He also knows that Mr. Bean of INdia has got a very hard task of winning even Amethi this time.

Bro! Have you forgotten that RaGa has a track record of 30 defeats and 22 state losses. Cong has only 2 states left. There is no justification in seeing a potential in RaGa. Isnt it time to introspect. Cong needs a leadership change to bounce back.

Dodda Gowda exactly knows Rahul will have to work very hard to get to that post, just to keep his son on the CM post for whole 5 years, it is necessary to extend such supports ......
Rahul's ancestors were lucky that they became Prime Ministers as a dynasty right, now left Rahul very tough task to face Modi in his political career .... this is not fair ....

Rahul Gandhi is BJP's victory card...... ! More congress tries to make him PM more the chances for BJP. In last 4 years BJP has done nothing, but still they may win again in 2019 because of Rahul Gandhi.
