After outrage over 'curse' comment on Siddaramaiah, Reddy apologises

Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (DC)

Bengaluru, Oct 31: After former BJP minister Gali Janardhana Reddy's remark that former CM Siddaramaiah's son Rakesh died a couple of years ago 'because of his father's sins', gave rise to widespread criticism from all corners including his party leaders, Reddy apologized on Wednesday, October 31.

The poll campaign for upcoming by-elections turned ugly on Tuesday when Reddy in an exclusive interview to a private news channel referred to the death of Rakesh (39), son of Siddaramaiah, in Belgium during the year 2016. Reddy also is heard recalling a story from Ramayana in which King Dasaratha was cursed by the old parents of a boy who was erroneously killed by the King with an arrow, thinking him to be an animal. As the story goes, Dasaratha died when his children were away.

Several of his own party leaders and Congress leaders lashed out at Reddy for making the nasty 'curse' comment. Netizens too came out in support of Siddaramaiah after he tweeted in reply sticking to the limits of decency.

“Janardhan Reddy has said my son’s death was a punishment that God gave me. I will pray to God, for Reddy’s sins, his children should not be punished," Siddaramaiah had tweeted in Kannada which went viral.

Reddy re-tweeted Siddaramaiah saying, "I am happy that an anti-Hindu and atheist like you have started believing in God." BJP leader Suresh Kumar criticised Reddy by tweeting in Kannada that no one should make such remarks. "Let us not forego humanity," he tweeted.

After his comment caused outrage, Reddy clarified and said, "I have not used such words. I had recalled a story from Ramayana. If the people of the state are hurt by my statement, I will apologise."

In July 2016, Rakesh Siddaramaiah (39) died of multiple organ failure in Belgium.

Typical of the BJP leaders including the PM of hitting political opponents below the belt. High time Karnataka teaches a good lesson to the BJP and send them into retirement in the bye polls and the General Elections.

It is not hidden fact that former BJP minister Gali Janardhana Reddy's was himself cursed by the Lord Tirumala for gitting crown worth Rs10 crores from the illicit money looted from Karnataka.

This man after coming out of the jail in mid of 'Demonetisation' organized his daughter's extravaganza wedding of Rs500 crores when the whole nation stood to withdraw limited cash from their own accounts in which more than 150 people died.

His own driver who is also whistleblower in the money exchange of old demonetized currency was later murder who left letter is not investigated and Enforcement Directorate never searched his residence.

A former minister from Karnataka BJP worked on a plot to bribe the judge, wanted bail "at any cost," according to his relative Dasarath Rami Reddy, who was arrested in the cash-for-bail scam.
In his statement to the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), Dasarath Rami Reddy has said he was asked to arrange Rs. 100 crore for the bail by former judge Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, who is one of the three judges arrested in the case.

A former judge, who was an accused in a cash-for-bail case allegedly involving former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at his residence in Hyderabad.

This man has bent the judiciary of this nation by buying and killing judges with illicit money and untouched by Rs 500 crores wedding of his daughter should have been hanged is BJP's cash machine that promise 'corruption free India'.

If the Indian judiciary in just and pursued the cases in 2012 for Judge murder, the repetition of another judge in Shorabudin fake encounter case in which BJP President Amit Shah was involved wouldn't have happened.

Only father knows the pain of his loved ones who grew in front of him. Such a cheap political talk of Reddy for vote bank politics should be utterly condemnable.

It shows BJP true colors which uses God's, personal affairs for vote bank polarisation.

    My comments earlier:-
    "Siddanna,
Please know that every dog has it's day
you have replied him in a cultured way."
Words uttered in pride against others will torments ones own heart & mind.
Reddy must have realized that he too is having a son.

I do not agree with Shanakar as i dont think there is any gentleman in BJP. This party is full of fools and jokers and fekus. Shankar might be day dreaming. Its shame that Janardhan Reddy made such criticism on our great leader Siddaramayya. Court should take note of this and dismiss this Cheddys candidature. Freedom of expression does not mean that you can bark like a dog without knowing anyting. This hate monger should not be allowed to contest election and should be arrested for hurtening feelings of we kannadigas who have great respect on Siddaramayya. This Cheddy cannot compare himself even to the foot dust of Siddaramayya. Shame on you Janardhan Reddy. You have brought insult to bjp also. bjp should expel this person immediatley.
