Udupi, Nov 1: A video clip that has become viral in social websites shows staff of Indian Navy arriving by helicopter, flying low, and collecting fish from the fishermen of a boat free of cost. The video was shot in Arabian Sea on Karwar - Goa border.

The boat in question reportedly belongs to Malpe port. The boat was returning to Malpe after its fishing trip to Goa when the helicopter hovered low near the boat and the people inside signalled the fishermen to part with fish. A bag was lowered with the help of a rope. After the fishermen put some fish into the bag, the bag was pulled back and the helicopter went away.

Some people in another boat, who saw this happening, recorded the incident and uploaded it in social media. The people have largely expressed their criticism for the navy men for having used the navy helicopter meant for defence purposes for personal use.

As per another source, the helicopter belonged the Coastal Guards.
